CDF&S Welcomes Newest Members

CARTER, DELUCA, FARRELL & SCHMIDT, LLP would like to welcome Ryan J. Shin, Stephen Di Lorenzo, Seth M. Cannon and Dan Li.

RYAN J. SHIN graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering/Economics (Double) from Carnegie Mellon University in 2002, a J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis in 2008, and a M.A. in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis is expected in 2009.  Mr. Shin is admitted to Courts of the States of New York and New Jersey.   Mr. Shin's fields of technology include medical devices and semiconductors.

STEPHEN DI LORENZO graduated with a B.S. in Physics from Washington University in St. Louis in 2005, and with a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law in 2009 with a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law.  He was a staff member of the Pittsburgh Journal of Technology Law and Policy from 2008 to 2009, and a recipient of the 2009 Pittsburgh Intellectual Properly Law Association (PIPLA) Student Leadership Award and the 2009 PIPLA Student Writing Award.  Mr. Di Lorenzo is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

 SETH M. CANNON graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University in 2000, a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University Law School in 2004, and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University in 2005.  Mr. Cannon is admitted to the Courts of the State of Massachusetts and registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  He is a member of the American Bar Association.  Mr. Cannon is experienced in all aspects of patent and trade secret litigation, foreign and domestic patent prosecution, due diligence, clearance, and patentability investigations, counseling, and licensing.  His fields of technology include medical devices, analog and digital electronics, telecommunications, optics, lasers, antennas, mechanical and electro-mechanical devices, control systems, digital signal processing, computer systems, software, business methods, nanotechnology, and semiconductors.

 DAN LI graduated with a B.A.S., Honours Computer Engineering, Option in Mechatronics, from the University of Waterloo in 2006, and a J.D. from Albany Law School in 2009.  Miss Li is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the New York State Bar Association.  She is also fluent in Mandarin.
